What a great little pub owners are very welcoming to our fur baby. Pops knows she in for a huge fuss and a doggie treat on arrival not many pubs welcome dogs and diners. There is a seperate restaurant end for those without there furry friends in tow so everyone is catered for and happy.
Just came away from the pub, having gone there with 3 great friends and 1 very small dog. Our table was reserved and there was already the dog bed in place to make our doggie pal comfortable.
The menu for dogs was amazing and it was Fido Friday so meals for dogs were free ! The staff were so helpful with everything and all the regular customers were truly happy to have dogs in the bar.
This will become a frequent meeting place for us ladies and our dog friends
Apart from the great welcome, great food and fine selection of ales and ciders, their commitment to peoples dogs goes a stage further for pooches!!
During August every year they hold their very own Scrufts! We went this year on 11th August, customers brought their dogs for a day of fun and friendly competition for both humans and their dogs.
Held in a marquee in the garden, with plenty of doggy treats, games for the kids and a BBQ too!!
Proceeds from the day go to local animal charities.
This place is something special….from the staff to the food, it’s a cut above and so inclusive for your dog. They get a fuss and VIP treatment and it’s location is beautiful to walk around with your pup. Highly recommend
The best dog friendly pub in Newport and Caerleon. They even have a 3course doggy menu and dog drinks selection like pawsecco! The dog is treated with as much respect and love as the hoomans…. and the food, service, menu choices and staff are all amazing. Couldn’t recommend this dog friendly pub highly enough! Plus it’s so cosy and has a lovely beer garden and undercover areas.

Lola was treated a special dog menu with a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 deserts!! As well as the human’s food which was fantastically delicious, the dog got spoilt too.
