What are the Rover Dog-friendly Pub Awards?

The Awards

Did you know that a third of UK dog owners struggle to find a dog-friendly pub, and when they do find a local watering hole which advertises itself as dog-friendly, 24% of dog owners leave the pub because it didn’t live up to their expectations of what it means to be dog-friendly?

To help the 9 million dogs (and their owners) up and down the country enjoy the great British tradition of paying a visit to your ‘regular’, Rover is on the hunt for the nation’s best dog-friendly pubs. Our mission is to encourage pubs across the country to welcome customers with both two legs and four.

If you know a local pub who caters for their canine customers as well as their human patrons, cast your vote and help us find the most dog-friendly pub in each of our 12 regions. Then, based on a simple set of judging criteria prepared in partnership with the RSPCA and the Morning Advertiser, our panel of pup and pub experts will crown one pub our UK “Dog-friendly Pub of the Year”.

Voting is open from 25th September to 6th November 2019.
