1 October 2018 at 10:02amWe regularly visit The West Kirby Tap with our two boxers Abbie and Ziva, as we walk towards the pub the dogs drag us along to get there. We love the welcome we are given, our dogs love the cuddles and home made dog biscuits but most of all they live dog watching!

18 September 2018 at 7:49pmOur rescue Eve sits in the raised area gazing at the dog treat jar on the bar counter willing people to fetch. She also drags us through the front door on a regular basis. She was honoured to be in their calandar one year. A great pub for humans too.

18 September 2018 at 11:20amFantastic human friendly pub for dogs. The Dogs of the West Kirby Tap Calendar is a lovely touch and has helped raise much needed cash for Dogs Trust and local animal welfare charities. Our Westie can’t walk by now without dragging us in. Terrific staff, beers, food and atmosphere also

7 September 2018 at 9:14amIt’s a pub for dogs but humans are welcome. They just adore all our dogs. Don’t care how old, dirty, smelly or ugly they may be. Cuddles, treats and water are always on the menu.
Helpful ReviewLove this place. Great beer range too, which can only help.

5 September 2018 at 7:10pmGreat place to bring your woofers, genuinely dog friendly, always a bowl of water, biscuit and cushion on hand.
Helpful ReviewGets busy on Fridays and Saturdays, so dog curfew is 7pm but it’s understandable.
Staff are really friendly and the beer is superb

1 October 2017 at 8:13pmMy dog loves the TAP she always tries to dart in when we are passing. The staff make an enormous fuss of all the dogs, there are free organic treats, bowls of water and even dog pads for them to sit on. Sadie was Miss September in their dog calendar last year! If she could vote this is the pub she would vote for too!

29 October 2016 at 9:33pmHighly recommended by all local dogs. Water, free biscuits, lounging mattresses and good conversation with other dogs and humans. Friendly, dog-loving bar staff who know their customers – canine and human – by name. A dog’s paradise.
