Everyone is very welcome at The Greyhound Inn, an 18th century free house, in the centre of Letcombe Regis, a pretty downland village within the Vale of the White Horse region of Oxfordshire.

We hope you will find us to be a great example of a proper English village inn, a place:

  • Where the community comes together and all visitors from near and far are made very welcome
  • To drop in just for a quick drink, to read the paper or catch up with friends
  • Where you can grab a simple snack or stay and linger over a celebratory feast

Front-of-house host, Lidia Dhorne, and her well-trained team of warm, friendly and efficient staff welcome regulars, walkers, cyclists and riders, along with families and dogs. Doggy treats and water bowls are available at the bar, as are three dog-friendly bedrooms for overnight stays. A dog bed, water bowl, a selection box of treats and a towel for muddy paws are provided for an extra £15 a night.

For walkers, we have a section of locally produced map guides showing favourite local walks from 30min-5 hours where you can explore the downland paths and bridleways and see lots of wildlife in this unspoilt corner of Oxfordshire. White Horse Hill at Uffington, a National Trust favourite, is only 6 miles away and a walking route from the pub is available.

Whatever the reason for your visit, you will be assured of a warm, friendly welcome.
