The Crown Hotel at Middlesmoor is a wonderful North Yorkshire pub, with open fires and a great character in its Landlord Malcolm. Malcolm’s family run the pub alongside him and are friendly and accommodating and nothing is ever too much trouble. The pub serves delicious home cooked meals and in addition it has comfortable accommodation in the pub itself and a small campsite at the rear. All of which is dog friendly.
The pub itself is a mixture of friendly locals and their dogs and visitors to the dales who are all extremely welcome to bring their dogs into the warm cosy atmosphere. In the shooting season, the pub also entertains guests who are attending the many shoots in the area (Along with their dogs) and is buzzing with stories and accounts of the day our on the moor.
It is a great place to sit and relax with a pint of beer or an excellent wine, a home cooked meal and great company, whilst taking in the friendly atmosphere and the local banter. A must visit pub that has got to be the most dog friendly pub I have ever visited.
