10 September 2018 at 10:56amVery dog friendly pub with lots of bowls of water around and a barrel of water owners can top up with. Dogs allowed inside no matter what the weather is like outside. We have visited many times after 8 mile plus walks with our dogs and have been welcomed every time.

22 October 2017 at 5:51pmThis is a proper country pub with real ales, good food and real fires. Dogs are always welcome and there’s water and treats for them. The landlord & landlady are lovely, and all the staff are friendly. We live over 10 miles away but come here because it’s the best pub for miles around.

3 September 2017 at 3:06pmThis is our ‘local’ pub even though we live 10 miles away. We travel to The Bay Horse because they are so dog friendly and we can relax. Excellent food, especially the doggy dinners, Bella loves them. Excellent staff make every visit special.

1 September 2017 at 3:45pmThey are so welcoming of dogs, even muddy ones! This is such a hearty British pub, and one of a dying breed in the country, with efficient staff and simple but tasty food. The pub is really rated by many dog owners I know around Adlington (Chorley) and Bolton too. It’s big enough too that you can always take your pup on a little walk around the large car park if they get bored.

10 October 2016 at 5:58amUnlike many pubs that simply let dogs in, the Bay Horse reallly welcomes dogs. Karl and Fiona have a dog themselves as do most of the staff. Treats are readily given and fresh water is always on hand. Nobody seem to mind when stepping over a chilled out dog spread out in front of the bar. If you have a dog and are looking for a good pint, great conversation and meet like-minded folk then the Bay Horse is for you.
