The Boot is a historic pub built in 1420. Located opposite the medieval clock tower it is no wonder The Boot’s doors are always open. Having won Best Hertfordshire Pub of 2015 and finalist of 2016, and most Festive Pub of the Year 2015, the Boot never fails as a warm welcoming pub to all.
Our roaring fire welcomes in the passers by who are greeted by our Pub Dog, Dylan. Dylan is a 11 year all Labrador and love by all… so much so he had his own Bar named after his famous self. Every year we Host ‘Santa Paws’ welcoming all dog to come and meet Santa, and raising money for our local dog shelters. All dogs are welcome – big or small – and are not forgotten about, if their owners are having a beer why should they miss out? We stock ‘Snuffle Beer’ and doggy treats, so our dog local’s never go empty handed.
