We love dogs at the George and Dragon! We have 3 rescue dogs ourselves so our pub is really dog-friendly.
Our four legged friends have their own menu to choose from and each meal comes with a complimentary doggie toothbrush and poo bag! We even sell doggie beer aptly named ‘Bottom Sniffer’. We also hold dog parties (see garden photo in gallery)!
The BBC recently filmed here due to our dog-friendly hospitality which is due to be shown later in October 2016 on ‘Anne Robinsons Britain’.

However the real reason we return is that my dog Poppy is always made to feel welcome, she has a choice of meal, her own beer and always the biggest welcome! Allowing the family to dine out together. The pub also supply a map of a great dog walk close by which is a lovely walk.

17 October 2016 at 8:55pmThis is the nicest and friendliest pub that has ever welcomed my dog, he has so much fuss from the staff and customers alike, he has treats given to him and we can buy him a doggy dinner and his own bottle of beer. Whenever we go to the pub the dog comes too he is as relaxed in the pub as he is at home. He also gets on well with the publicans dogs and sends them cards when he is on holiday. The staff are as soft about dogs as we are so we feel really comfortable about taking George with us and he is as warmly welcomed as we are ( probably warmer but don’t tell my partner). A great pub all round they deserve recognition for the effort they put in to make all welcome.

This lovely pub has it all – lovely wine, delicious food and always friendly accommodating staff to chat too.

The owner was most friendly and catered for any of our needs. We would definitely go back again with our little dog Charlie.
