The Harbour Bar was the first and only bar in NI which dogs were made more than welcome many moons ago, now it is the number one venue for people to bring their four legged friends for a drink. Bar man Willie spoils every dog rotten with treats and drinks.
Please check out the Harbour Bar Facebook page which has over 4,000 photos of dogs having a great time out in the Harbour Bar.
I do humans only if I have to,
Willie

17 September 2017 at 7:52pmLove this bar for it’s friendly staff, dog friendly hospitality and charismatic charm. In the winter the warm fire is enticing to enjoy a hot toddy or a local Bushmills whisky. If you haven’t visited it this is a must especially when visiting the North Coast.
The bar also Promotes tourism and is a great ambassador for the Northern Ireland live bar scene with local musicians who definitely get the clients up partying. If you didn’t know anyone before you entered….you will definitely have made a friend before you leave.
There is a map in the front bar where tourists are invited to place a coloured pin from where they live. This map covers the whole world and it still amazes me with all the locations where people have visited from.

17 September 2017 at 7:51pmMy friends came up from Dublin, yesterday, with their newly-adopted rescue dog. She, (we are discussing her new name.. Bella or Kerry), is obviously still quite timid and she is still recovering from surgeries to her leg to repair the physical abuse she had suffered, so we could not leave her alone and so needed a dog friendly venue.
Willie Gregg, the Master Bar Man and the other doggy friendly locals ( of which there were numerous at 6 o’clock last night!) could not have been nicer, more welcoming or put her more at ease..
She settled within a few minutes, was delighted with her doggy treat that Willie offers all doggies, and we were able to have our excellent pints and gin and conversation, knowing that all the dogs were happy with us.
I love dogs, don’t actually have one at present, but look after some of my friend’s dogs when they go away. I was so impressed with the way the dogs and their owners are handled sensibly, sensitively and with care..Willie goes round to each and every one of them with a gentle reminder of rules and with humour. I have no hesitation in recommending this Bar as the most doggy friendly I have ever witnessed!
