The Old Glen House is a welcoming country pub situated on the idyllic Baildon Moor only minutes from the Shipley glen tramway, serving a range of cask beers, wines and home cooked food. With the wood-burning stove roaring away in the winter and the vast beer garden open on the summer days it is the perfect venue all year around. Whether you call in after a walk (with or without a dog), a cycle ride or as a diner or drinker you can always be assured of a warm welcome.

3 November 2019 at 7:41pmSuperb pub. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the pub is homely with excellent food (especially their pies!) and their beer is kept in perfect condition. I am told their Pinot rose is rather good too… And, of course, they love dogs. Great place & we’re lucky that it’s the halfway point on our regular walk with out woofers!

7 September 2017 at 7:12pmFantastic pub! Lovely food and service and full of well behaved doggy patrons. If I forget my own treats I don’t need to worry – you can buy little treat bundles and get some dog beer for your furry buddy to wash it down with. Love coming here on a weekend after a ramble about the moors.

17 October 2016 at 8:47pmThis dog friendly pub is run by Ed, Lou and their friendly staff. It’s in a rural setting and is popular with locals and dog walkers. There is always a warm welcome for drinkers and their pooches. Ed provides a good selection of real ales, lagers, ciders, wines and spirits. There is an excellent food menu for freshly prepared meals. Not forgetting the specials board and the Tuesday night steak night, which is always popular. Dogs can sit with their owners whilst they have their meals. This has resulted in whole families visiting for refreshments, including the dog! Oh, and the staff always have dog biscuits behind the bar (for free) for your four legged friend to nibble on whilst you quaff your well earned pint! This pub gets my vote as the most dog friendly in this area!

30 August 2016 at 11:27amAlways have dog treats available and for the human visitors the food, welcome and surroundings are what you’d look for in a country side style pub, especially with the real log fire that doggies will enjoy snoozing by in winter as well.
