my beautiful Lily loved this place so much,
loved a taste of real ale, bag of mini cheddars and mostly lots of fuss and attention from customers and staff.
I used to work at the duke and all the dogs knew we had treats behind the bar a few of the lovely dogs have gone to doggie heaven but I’ll never forget them ????????????
This pub is my local. However. Ive taken my dog all over the country and Ive never found a pub this welcoming anywhere else.
The staff are fabulous, love all dogs and go out of their way to make you and your pooch more than welcome.
Great atmosphere, great company and a fabulous range of well kept ales.
Very highly reccomended.
The Duke of Cambridge is a very friendly little real ale pub that has always welcomed dogs. With its real fire and traditional quarry tile floor it gives the feel of a country pub in the town. Dogs and their owners are always made welcome and there are always plenty of dog water bowls available.
