From the moment you walk in with a dog, you are made to feel completely welcome. My dog is big and (for the first five minutes) excitable, but they take it in their stride. The staff all love to make a fuss, there are treats, and they will give you a doggie bag for any leftovers you want to take home. This is a proper gastropub,although it feels like a “proper” pub too, and finding such a welcome where there is also top quality food is unusual. It is our “go to” place and deserves an award!
