Very friendly staff quality bar meals also provide doggy dinners. We take our husky regular for a meal out. The pub is in the Chapel town area, in walking distance from jumbles country park.
This is a great village pub close to Tatton park, ideal stop after a long dog walk. It's got a lovely recently renovated beer garden and the interior is cosy and traditional with two log fires. It's got a good food selection and Friday evening has the added bonus of free bar snacks. Dogs are very welcome in all areas apart from the restaurant and there's always a jar of dog biscuits on the bar.

Called in here on our first pit stop of our recent whistle stop dogie ale tail tour of central Southport.
Gave a quick reminiscence of Elvis Presley Hound Dog on the karaoke before leaving for our next dogie friendly pub.

Guys Thatched Hamlet, what a wagtastic place this is.
I would give this place at least 10 wags of my tail.
With its may pub rooms to explore, ales, food, shops, cricket pitch, bowling green, accommodation and ample car parking on offer too.
Not to mention a dogie walk down the canal side with its many narrow boats.

Lovely local pub, works with local independent suppliers.
