This is a lovely cosy country pub on outskirts of Chesterfield which serves excellent food & drinks but is also dog & child friendly. When we visited recently there were several dogs there with the locals & the atmosphere was lovely.

Always a warm welcome for locals and visitors with dogs.... relaxed atmosphere, dogs on leads under or next to most tables, hoping for a stray morsel especially on Sundays (yummy roast!)

Your dogs are treated as special as you and are treated like customers. The staff will very often wait by the front door of the Craven Arms and welcome your dogs first. They will bring a bowl of water, without being asked and ask if your dogs are eating with you. They will offer treats and the whole experience is relaxed. This pub never ceases to amaze. 10/10

The dogs are always greeted with a warm welcome, a scratch behind the ear and a treat for them, water bowls are all round the pub, we feel very welcome here
