6 September 2017 at 9:26amThis pub is a fantastic friendly country pub in the middle of town. Both Joan & Dave know how to run a quality public house. They also let well behaved dogs in and proceed to have a jar of gravy bones behind the bar for all dogs! Great place!!! The best pub in Chester-le-Street

6 September 2017 at 9:22amNever known a pub so friendly and welcoming to dogs. Jars of treats behind the bar, given away freely. Regulars who are dog owners have to take a different route if they don’t want to be dragged in on the wrong end of the lead if they’re with their partners who thought they were ‘just taking the dog out for a good walk’!
