We are the dog-friendly pub…. we have our own pub dog to greet four legged friends on arrival, dog biscuits to help yourself to, communal dog bed, as well as Boris’ dog bed which he often shares! Dogs get a complimentary doggy dinner on a Sunday in their own special bowls. We just cannot express how much we love dogs! Check on trip advisor and generally all reviews state how fab and dog-friendly we are. We have 2 different grey hound trust groups that use us for their dog walks and 2 other dog walking groups that all meet up here. Even the locals dogs visit here on their own when they escape. We do allow the restaurant area to be dog-free to cater for those that wish to dine away from dogs, but the conservatory and bar area are 100% dog-friendly and same menu throughout!

7 September 2018 at 10:46amThis pub has everything for dog owners, a friendly welcome from staff who love dogs. Water bowls, dog toys, free dog treats, two separate dinning areas one where dogs are allowed and one where they are not. a good pub garden. To make it that extra special on a sunday free doggy dinners are provided to all dogs after the roast dinners have finished. In a bowl by dog was served beef, veg, potatoes and gravy, I was asked if it was ok, there was no charge and we were not eating. Charlie the owner is remembers all the dogs names and makes you feel so welcome for visiting with your four legged friend. We love go there with our staffy Murphy – so does he.

9 October 2016 at 12:26pmA fantastic dog and family friendly pub, serving a good pint and delicious hearty food. A wonderful location, perfect for those traveling along the canal or for a walk in the country. Perfect in the summer with its beer gardens but cosy and snug in the winterin front of a log burning fire. Friendly and attentive staff greet you and work very hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Pub recommended.
