We love dogs!
Dogs are always welcome at The Royal Oak. And boy do we get them.
Being in such a beautiful rural spot we attract dog walkers, tourists and those just passing through not to mention our local dogs and owners. A wide variety of roles and breeds, from working dogs to smaller house dogs, Spaniels to French Bulldogs.
We provide water bowls throughout, inside and out as well as free dog treats at the bar.
I’m a firm believer a pub isn’t a pub unless it contains a dog. They can be assured of a fuss and a welcome from our enthusiastic staff.

4 September 2017 at 6:00pmThis pub is super dog friendly – dogs get treats and water from the bar, and a huge fuss. The pub quiz regularly has a doggy mascot per team and they are often better behaved than the regulars!
