“Traditional and filling Sunday lunch – with veggie option!”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago
This place was closed for a time but is now open under new management. We called in on spec for lunch a few weeks ago and were very pleased with the offering. We had a very good leek based pie with all the traditional trimmings of a Sunday lunch AND we could take the dog in! Very well worth a visit.

“What a welcome”
Reviewed 15 June 2016
Went here while moored in Glasson dock on the recommendation of another boater. Staff really friendly, my dog was very welcome, the beer nice, the food huge (!) and tasty and there was even a quiz to join in with where the local folk were great fun too. Oh, and as if this is not enough – it was very reasonably priced too.

8 September 2018 at 2:30pmVery dog friendly! Always a treat and a bowl of water waiting for a y dog that comes in. They have also started doing a doggy photo booth where you take a picture of your dog in the booth and get entered in to a weekly draw to win a £5 food voucher

8 September 2018 at 1:01pmExcellent, warm welcoming pub for both the 2 legged and 4 legged variety. It’s great to take your best friend in with you for something to eat as not too many pubs allow this whilst eating. Wonderful food too. Recommend to anyone.
