A fantastic place all round. Great friendly staff, great food and always a warm welcome from owners Gayle and Chris. Love seeing the dogs roam around, and a great outside space for them to run run about.

Four legged friends always welcome!

The Oak offers fresh quality food at an affordable price. The staff are always welcoming and have a cuddle and a treat for my best four legged pal. Set in lovely surroundings, opposite an ancient oak tree and near a Roman fort. My dog and I are sat next to their roaring log fire and enjoying one of the local ales. I like this pub because it is so dog friendly and my dog gets to make lots of new friends.

I love this pub and so does my dog Taz. The food is very good quality at an excellent price. Baginton is a lovely village and there is plenty of seating outside The Oak to enjoy the surroundings in summer. I always take my dog and both of us are made to feel very welcome by the staff and pub dogs. The majority of the pub is dog friendly with a separate dining area for those who prefer to eat without our four legged friends. Always loads of bowls of water down, dog treats behind the bar and the landlord often gives the dogs a treat of freshly cooked chicken. Where else would you get that?

Brilliant place, friendly staff, fantastic choice of delicious food and plenty of it at a very reasonable price AND my dog is welcome to come too 😊. If you don’t like dogs it’s fine, as there is a dog free area you can eat in.
